ImageFaith Based mentoring program will hold Introduction / Reception  for students and parents on January 25, 2010
Blaze Mentoring (formally Man 2 Man & Sister 2 Sister) announces a bold initiative for 2010 to effect the lives of young people (specifically Teens 12- 17 years of age) in Columbia SC.    Blaze is a uniquely constructed mentoring program. While there are others available, no other program can duplicate the curriculum and highlights that Blaze offers. It is designed to utilize entertainment-based concepts and technology in a small group setting to connect with male and female students, while simultaneously modeling, mentoring and motivating them with effective strategies to bring them to their full and expected potential. Moreover, the founders, Akintunde Warnock, who is a successful full-time Stand Up Comedian, TV and Screenplay Writer, currently acting as a creative consultant, writer and producer for BET Networks' new flagship series,"The Monique Show", and Eunissa Warnock, a Talent Manager and Agent for Christian Artists, offer participants an unmatched, fascinating window into the world of entertainment. These elements have proven effective in capturing the interest and undivided attention of the participants. The couple has utilized their lifestyle in entertainment to inspire children to think "Outside of the box" and make the necessary changes to reach a preferable future. Their rapport with various entities like BET Networks, TBS Studios, and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program allows Blaze participants (“Trailblazers”) to experience a world outside of their usual environment in a rare and life-transforming way.   A Parent Information meeting will be held on January 25, 2010 at 1234 St. Andrews Rd., Columbia, SC 29210 at 6:30pm.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS
Like most children in America, Akintunde grew up without a father and Eunissa grew up with divorced parents, sharing her father with his second family.  So they share a passion and sensitivity for the challenges and plights of youth, and as parents, they understand the mountains and valleys of parenthood as well.   Akintunde and Eunissa created the Man 2 Man (M2M) & Sister 2 Sister (S2S) male and female mentoring programs in 2004 as an answer to the call they felt to mentor, support and help guide the most at-risk youth in their community.  This commitment was taken to new heights after mentoring youth at the SC Department of Juvenile Justice.  In 2009, M2M & S2S graduated to Blaze Mentoring. Says Akintunde, “I want these kids to know that their dreams really are possible, but they have to do their part to see them come true.”   Akintunde and Eunissa, together, operate the Christian production company, No Joke Entertainment which will release 4 DVD and CD titles to retail outlets through (Blueprint Music / Universal Christian Music Groupin 2010 and have 4 cable network television series in development.  In addition to all of this, the couple has 5 children ranging from 7 to 16 years of age.
